Athens Golf League 2014 Fall-Spring Series Match-Play Tourney

The fall season "Najee" MatchPlay Tourney was conceived by members from the Ohio University Open Golf League in 2014, to commence following regular-season league play. The tourney is dedicated to our good friend and avid golfer Najee Muhammad, who joined the Ohio University faculty in 1996 in the Cultural Studies in Education program (Department of Educational Studies). He also served one year as the interim chair of the Department of African American Studies. A diverse teacher and mentor, Najee was a dedicated student of the game, equally enjoying the "lesson" tee as well walking the university golf course and many other surrounding area courses. Tourney Rules/Regulations:
• 9- and 18-hole handicaps are calculated based on the top 5 games during the regular season.
• Calculate handicap for each match based on these numbers, but let’s limit the maximum handicap
to 1 stroke per hole as we do during the regular season.
• Unlike the summer team league, there is NO double bogey limit. Holes are played out or until conceded.
